All STARSkaters must have a professional coach. Some coaches team coach and you may have the option of working with more than one coach in some circumstances. If your skater will be absent from a lesson, please advise the coach ahead of time. All coaching fees are billed by and paid directly to individual coaches. At their discretion, coaches will also bill for extra sessions, making of music, competition attendance and mileage. You may want to consider the coach's skill level/style when determining the best fit. Contact coaches directly for inquiries about their availability.


Carolyn is a National Level certified coach who has taught in both small and large city clubs. Her experience in coaching is from the grassroots to international level. She has significant CanSkate coordination and administrative experience with programs of all sizes. 

Carolyn is our Club Administrator and Consultant. Her full-time position is with Skate Canada as a Coach Development Coordinator. 



Karly has over 20 years skating experience and 12 years of coaching experience. She has completed her Skate Canada Gold level Freeskate, Dance, and Skills tests and now coaches skaters from beginner to STARSkate Gold level as well as assisting with University Varsity Teams. Karly is a NCCP Skate Canada Regional Coach and currently working on completing her Provincial Coach status. She is also a CanPowerSkate certified coach with experience instructing hockey players from grass roots to high performance athletes. Karly enjoys implementing innovative programs and lessons to all students.

Tammi has over 20 years skating experience, 18 years coaching experience and holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from McMaster University.Tammi completed her Gold level Freeskate, Dance and Skills tests. Tammi is a NCCP Skate Canada Regional Coach and is working on completing her Provincial Coach. Tammi has taught skaters from Beginner to STARSkate Gold level. Tammi is also a CanPowerSkate Certified coach and has instructed skaters from beginner to elite level.

With over 30 years of coaching experience, Lisa has her Provincial Coach certification. She is currently National Coach Trained. She has coached skaters from Preliminary to Gold in Freeskate, Dance, Skills and Interpretive.

Lisa is available Mon, Wed, Thurs, Sat.



Caitlin has been coaching since 2005 and is Regional Coach certified and working on completing her Provincial Coach status. She has experience with all levels of skaters from Preliminary to Gold levels in Freeskate, Skills, Dance and Interpretive.

Shannon is a Regional Certified coach who has been coaching since 2010 and has experience coaching skaters up to and including Gold test levels. She is currently pursuing the Provincial coaching certification with all 7 multisport tasks completed, and only the Skate Canada Provincial course remaining  

Experienced in coaching Synchro, Freeskate, Skills, Dance, Stroking, Interpretive, Off-Ice, PreCanSkate, and CanSkate. 

Shannon has had the pleasure of coaching at multiple different clubs throughout southern Ontario before finding a home with FSC in 2022. Shannon’s experience has brought her insight from both large competitive clubs and small community skating clubs.



Alex Brown has been involved in the figure skating community since 2004 and has been coaching since 2014.

She is Regional Coach Certified. As a recent graduate from McMaster University, Alex is looking forward to building strong mentoring relationships with her skaters and hopes to share her love of skating with them.
