Learn-to-Skate

PreCanSkate
This Skate Canada program is taught in a group lesson format by our professional coaching staff and is designed for FIRST time skaters. All skaters must wear CSA approved helmets (no bicycle helmets are permitted).

CanSkate
This Learn-to-Skate program is designed for children who have basic skating skills. Programs include group lessons with our professional coaches. CSA approved helmets must be worn. Opportunities for private lessons during the CanSkate session are available and recommended. Speak to the CanSkate Director if interested.

STARSkate Figure Skating

Junior
This Skate Canada figure skating program is designed for skaters who are working on Stage 5 or have been assessed by our professional coaching staff. The Junior session includes a group session on each session day. All skaters must skate a minimum of 2 sessions per week and have a professional coach.

Intermediate
This level is designed for any skater working on skills. Skaters may choose to skate 2 or 3 days per week. All Intermediate sessions include skills, stroking, field moves, spins, free-skate and dance. As an Intermediate skater, opportunities are available to test each skill and enter skating competitions. All skaters must have a professional coach.

Senior
Skaters in the Senior program must have passed the Jr. Bronze Dance, Skills and Freeskate tests. The sessions include skills, stroking, field moves, spins, freeskate and dance. Opportunities are available to test each skill and to enter skating competitions. All skaters must have a professional coach.

Guest Skaters - Qualified Senior skaters who have another home club may skate at Flamboro Skating Club, but their club coaches may NOT be in attendance. Our guest skater fee is $15/session and must be paid at the office before entering the ice.
